Theme men and animal
The theme "men and animal" is based on the contradiction of thecastle Lamothe itself. On one hand the function of protection on theother hand the inhumanity that took place in the catacombs.
This contradiction we also see in the relationship between men andanimal. With the title 'Le clef de voûte' we refer to the location ofthe expostion and to the search of a possible balance in therelationship between men and animal.
Explanation title: La clef de voûte or the keystone. This stonewhich is essential for the construction of a bow is symbol for the wayin which men and animal be related. THE EQUILIBRIUM
The artist are asked to give their vision in the form of aninstallation. The foundation wants to minimize her influence on theartist. So the artists are free to react on the theme and place. In oursearch to a variety of expressions artists from France, Holland,England, Germany and Belgium took part in the exposition.
